Jocelyn & Justin met at Johnson & Wales University where Jocelyn studied Nutrition & Food Science and Justin, Culinary Sustainability. After graduating and moving out west together, we both cooked at Canlis in Seattle, WA. Since then, Jocelyn shifted into product development and Justin began tending bar. Since moving back East, Jocelyn works as a culinary consultant and Justin began bartending at The Port of Call in Mystic, CT.
After years of collecting chipped plates and mulling ideas, we came up with an idea to balance our interests, skills, and backgrounds. Combining Jocelyn’s heritage Portuguese cuisine and Justin’s love of tropical drinks, we designed Overcast - a unique blend of traditional and modern approaches to food and drink that takes you to a beach, somewhere.
We are excited about the collaborative partnerships with producers and farmers that coastal New England inspires and we look forward to hosting you soon.
